My 23 Year Work: For about 23 years since my tour of The Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz, California in
1993, of Oregon Vortex in Gold Hill, Oregon in 2004 and of the Magnetic Hill in eastern Canada in 2005, I have
been thinking about and investigating on the strange gravity phenomena on hundreds of gravity hills all over the
world and at several Mystery Spots.

Mysterious Dynamics of Gravity Mysteries: Most visitors spend only about half hour and saw only
a few snapshots of several gravity mysteries in Mystery Spot Area. But tour guides, owners of Mystery Spot
areas and researchers who work for several months or several years in Mystery Spot areas see much more.
They see even more strange, slow time variations of those gravity mysteries. People's heights are not
supposed to change when they are standing still at a given location. But their heights do change slowly even
when they are standing still at a given location in the Mystery Spot area. Scenery of building, fence, posts and
trees are not supposed to change. But such scenery does change slightly and slowly over time in Mystery
Spot areas. More of such mysteries are described in Section 2 in the following.

My Theory for These Mysterious Dynamics: Our science still knows very little about dark matter.
Doing research on forefront science involving dark matter is extremely difficult. These observed strange
dynamics of gravity mysteries in Mystery Spot areas are giving us precious and  important tips and hints on
the dynamics of dark matters on earth. They imply that the location of the compact nugget of Type B very high
density dark matters as the source for abnormal local gravity is not fixed but is oscillating slowly in the Mystery
Spot area with oscillating distance of several feet and oscillation frequency of several times per day. These
observed strange time variations of gravity mysteries contribute to the formulation of the Theory and the Model
of Type B dark matter on earth as the source of abnormal local gravity at many known Gravity Hills and
several known Mystery Spot areas.


Note: I started presenting this Web Page D on April 23, 2014. I have been revising and updating this web
page from time to time as I gain more insight and relevant information from my ongoing research on this
project. Most recent update of this web page was on November 16, 2016.  As of November 16, 2016 this web
page has been accessed at least 248 times by my friends and strangers all over the world.


1. Introduction

Most visitors to Oregon Vortex in Oregon, USA or other similar known Mystery Spot Areas follow the tour
guide and spend about half hour to see several demonstrations of various gravity mysteries in such special
areas. Some examples of such gravity mysteries, such as Shrink-and-Grow phenomenon, are described in my
web page at:

In this sense, most visitors see only a snapshot of each of these gravity mysteries. However, people, such as
tour guides or owners of Mystery Spot areas or researchers, who work in these Mystery Spot areas for
several months or several years see much more than the snapshots seen by most visitors. What these tour
guides, Mystery Spot area owners and researchers see are even more mysterious dynamic time variations of
the gravity mysteries.

These observed dynamic time variations of gravity mysteries are giving us important tips and hints for us to
learn about the dynamics of dark matters on earth as described in the following sections 2 and 3. These
observed dynamic variations of gravity mysteries provide valuable inputs in guiding my formulation and
development of the Dark Matter based Theory for the abnormal gravity on hundreds of gravity hills all over the
world and in several known Mystery Spots.

2. Observed Dynamics of Gravity Mysteries in Mystery Spot Areas

I collected the information on dynamics of time variations of gravity mysteries in several Mystery Spot areas
from the reports available on Internet on the List in Appendix A at the end of this web page.

The following reported strange dynamics of gravity mysteries are quoted from References A to J in Appendix
A.

2.1. Shrink-and-Grow Phenomenon Varies with Time

"These anomalies are highly dynamic in that the percentage of height in the Shrink-and-Grow phenomenon will
vary over time. The change in size alters from one day to the next, during the same day, and also within three
to four minutes depending on where in the vortex the effect is measured."

"In the mid seventies the owner of the Oregon Vortex, Ernie Cooper, showed N. Nelson at the location of
these same poles that a person standing stationary over a period of a few minutes would have his eye level
view of the opposite pole automatically change."

"All tour guides after a time on the job in most of the attractions notice that the Shrink-and-Grow effect can’t
be counted on to be the same from one day to the next, or even from one hour to the next. Two young tour
guides who worked with Nelson in 2000, Bryton and Clare, were goofing off between tours one day at the
poles and rediscovered what he (Nelson) and Vogt already knew. They excitedly showed him and the owner
that if they stood very still on the pole platform staring at one another for three or four minutes one could
watch the other grow and shrink. The effect is slow enough so that the eye does not catch the motion, but the
brain at intervals realizes that it is now looking at the other person from a different height."

2.2. Shrink-and-Grow Mystery: Not Just on People But also on Everything in Mystery Spot Areas

A well known mystery in these Mystery Spot areas is that the height of people can change when people
moves from one location to another location in the Mystery Spot area. However, the following quotes indicate
that everything in the Mystery Spot area can change height, not just people.

"Take the "North-South perspective." The tour guide directs a group to two poles rising vertically from either
side of a narrow wooden platform. Though the tour guide claims the poles are of the same length, the pole to
the right (north) appears several inches shorter. The tour guide uses a metal rod for measurements to show
the group it's exactly 7 feet long. She holds the rod up against the right (north) pole. Same height. As the guide
drags the rod across the platform (which she has already proven level with a carpenter's bubble level.) the rod
appears to lengthen until it seems to be the same height as the left (south) pole. The poles are of identical
height, although the south one appears much taller."

"A guide instructs a person standing at the north post to look straight across and find his or her eye level on
the south post. Then walk to the post. There is an overwhelming feeling, verified by onlookers, that the walker
is shrinking as he or she approaches the south. Turn around and head north, and it feels like the person is
growing."

"Mark Cooper: “What we’re actually saying is that as you would walk towards north, you’re physically
condensing and thereby getting smaller. No more or less of you, just sort of taking up less space, like if you
were to squeeze a sponge or cool moist materials. And as you walk back towards the south you’re physically
expanding and thereby getting larger expanding. Again, no more or less of you, just taking up more space.”

2.3. Even The Landscape in Mystery Spot Areas Also Change over Time!

"As part of the research for his book, N. Nelson tried to make maps of the area within the Oregon Vortex, but
found his efforts to be scrupulously accurate thwarted by the dynamics of the field. He would carefully
measure every building and other features like the demo platforms, make drawings of them based on
compass readings, and then go home to turn the sketches into a carefully drawn map. The next day with the
new map in hand he would check it for accuracy. No matter how careful his measurements and compass
readings he never got any of the maps to match the next day’s reality check."

“I would stand in a certain spot, for instance lining up the side of a building with a fence post, and then the
fence post with a tree trunk. If all three were in perfect visual alignment I’d take a compass reading, and then
mark the spot where my feet were. The next day when standing on the exact same spot and peering down the
outer wall of the building the fence post might be out of alignment by a couple of degrees of arc, and worse,
the tree truck off this line that used to be straight would be off by an even greater angle. I never really got
used to this sort of thing. Always, a violent shiver invariably ran up my spine. The scenery is not supposed to
move!”

"Compasses when used inside the vortex to sight objects outside of it work properly, however the compass
when used to sight objects inside the vortex are unreliable. A magnetic compass needle may point directly at
an object, but in an hour or so will point to one side of that object by a few degrees. This effect is a larger
aspect of the dynamics of the area as opposed to a direct malfunction of the compass."

"close attention shows that a compass inside these areas always points without variance to the same
landscape feature outside the line of demarcation. It only diverges from its last reading when used to line up
items inside the vortex."

"These two photos were taken at a location in Portland, OR. The camera was hand held, and the
photographer tended to focus on the subject rather than holding the camera focused between the two poles,
but this small problem cannot explain the extreme distortions between the first photo and the second pole.
Note; not only did the human being and the poles change heights measurable INSIDE THE PHOTOGRAPH,
but the background (principally the school bus) has shifted position from one picture to the other as the subject
moved across the line of Demarcation between the poles from left to right. The camera was the same
distance from the subject in both shots."

"The only conclusion left is that ...the scenery really does move! That, of course, leaves a few rather thorny
questions hanging: What does this say about the nature of the scenery? If the scenery moves, therefore being
influenced by what appears to be a very subtle force, what is it made out of? If trees and fence posts can be
easily pushed around the yard inside the vortex, what about those same kind of items outside a vortex? What
are we made out of?"

2.4. Gravitational Time Dilation also Varies over Time

"The residents of several villages in that area (in Russia) have problems with their watches: Sometimes they
slow down, sometimes they speed up."

2.5. Frequency of Change

"VORTEX actually expands and contracts as much as 19 inches several times daily"

2.6. Long Term Variation of Shrink-and-Grow Phenomenon Over Many Years

"subjects to the north taller than to the south (on the demonstration platform), but for 70 years the exact
opposite has been true, short to the north and tall to the south. In the last four years something as yet
unknown has changed inside the Vortex to cause this “polarity” switch in the spin of the Vortex. The current
owners have no clue as to why this has happened."

2.7. This is How Land Surveyors Discovered Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz, California

"Originally, the land around the (mystery) spot was slated to be a summer-cabin site. When surveyors
attempted to chart the lot, goes the story, they found their instruments wouldn’t give accurate readings over
one particular patch of land. People who visited this spot claimed that a force seemed to be trying to push
them off balance, making them light-headed and dizzy."

"The Mystery Spot was discovered in 1939 by a group of surveyors, who tried to build a cabin, and found that
their compasses couldn't find true north."

"The Mystery Spot is located at 1953 Branciforte Dr., Santa Cruz, California. An individual who purchased the
land to build a mountain home on originally discovered it in 1940. While surveying the hillside, they noticed their
compass was way off. They claim that a compass can be 10º to 90º off."

"According to the official version it was discovered in 1939 when George Prather bought the land to build a
summer cabin. In surveying the parcel, he found the measurements off by as much as 30 degrees and the
compass refused to point in the correct direction."

"Once upon a time, in 1939, a group of surveyors were working in the dense redwood forest just outside of
Santa Cruz. They started in the flat area of the parcel, but as they worked their way uphill, they began noticing
some strange things. The compass stopped working and became unreliable, and the men felt dizzy and had to
sit down. They noticed these effects only within an area about 150 feet in diameter and just on the side of the
hill."

2.8. Measured Magnetic Field in Mystery Areas and Gravity Hills

The measurements of magnetic fields have been performed in two locations – the Confusion Hill at Piercy,
California and Magnetic Hill at Penngrove, California during May 12-13, 2001 by using G-856 Portable
Magnetometer. The measured magnetic fields in the mystery area and the gravity hill are higher by a few
percent than normal value outside of mystery area and gravity hill. Furthermore magnetic field intensity along
the investigated path undergoes several sharp changes that cannot be observed outside of the gravitational
anomaly.

3. Tips and Hints on Dynamics of Dark Matters on Earth

3.1. Model of Dark Matter on Earth at Mystery Spots

The dynamics of observed gravity mysteries described in Section 2 are part of important inputs that helped me
to realise that Type B high density dark matter in earth can be the steady source of the abnormal local gravity
at a Gravity Hill (or a Mystery Spot area). These observed dynamics of gravity mysteries helped me to
formulate the  Dark Matter based Theory for Mystery Spots and Gravity Hills as described in my Web Page
(2):

This theory can explain all the observed dynamics of gravity mysteries at Mystery Spot areas as described in
the following.

3.2. Contraction or Expansion of the Sizes of Molecules by the Yet Unknown Interaction Processes of
Type B High Density Dark Matter

The additional information in Section 2.2. indicates that not only people shrink or grow in their heights a few
percent when they move in the Mystery Spot area, but also the wood posts and metal rods also shrink or
grow in their heights/lengths a few percent over time and depending on the location in the Mystery Spot area.
This is due to the following factors:

(a) The location of the compact nugget of Type B high density dark matter in the Mystery Spot area is not
absolutely fixed but is moving and oscillating slowly in the Mystery Spot area as described in Section 5.8.1 on
my Web Page (2)

and

(b) according to Hypothesis 5 in Section 7.4.4. in my Web Page (2), the yet unknown dark interaction
processes of Type B high density dark matter shrinks the space by a few percent in the vicinity of the compact
nugget of Type B high density dark matter. Such shrinking of space shrinks the sizes of all molecules of all
ordinary matter in such vicinity area.

Therefore, as the compact nugget of Type B high density dark matter moves slowly near the earth surface, all
the objects made of ordinary matter in the vicinity of the moving compact nugget of Type B high density dark
matter will experience contraction or expansion of their physical sizes depending on their distance to the
slowly  moving compact nugget of Type high density dark matter.

3.3. Effects of such Oscillation on Dynamic Time Variation of Gravity Mysteries

As explained in Second 7.4.4, an important contributor to the Shrink-and-Grow Mystery is the expansion or
contraction of molecules in human body caused by the yet unknown dark interaction processes of compact
nugget of Type B high density dark matter. As the compact nugget of dark matter moves slowly horizontally
near the earth surface, its distances to the two standing positions on the demonstration platform are changing
with time. Therefore, the  percentage change in height in the Shrink and Grow Mystery also varies with time.

Furthermore, even if the two demonstrators do not switch their standing positions, but just stand still and stare
at each other's height, their relative height will also change slowly over several minutes because the compact
nugget of Type B high density dark matter is moving slowly horizontally, thereby, changing the distances to
those two standing positions.

Since the compact nugget of dark matter is moving horizontally, all molecules of everything, including soil and
rocks, in the Mystery S[pot area will experience the contraction and expansion a few percent (in both vertical
and horizontal planes) depending on their distance to the position of the moving compact nugget of Type B
high density dark matter. Therefore, the scenery of building, trees, fence posts, etc. in the Mystery Spot area
can shift their relative positions slightly with time as the soil and rocks supporting these scenery experience
molecular expansion or contraction.

Since the compact nugget of dark matter is moving slowly horizontally near the earth surface, the distance
from a fixed given point on ground surface to location in the moving compact nugget of Type B high density
dark matter will vary with time. Therefore, the gravitational time dilation at a given location in the Mystery Spot
area will also vary with time. Therefore, the residents of several villages in that area (in Russia) have problems
with their watches: Sometimes they slow down, sometimes they speed up.

3.4. Long Term Slow Drift of Position of Compact Nugget of Dark Matter

The observation in Section 2.6 is hinting that the oscillation path of the compact nugget of Type B high density
dark matter at Oregon Vortex has been drifting south by several feet over the last 70 years. In those earlier
years, the oscillation path of the nugget of dark matter was closer to the north end of the demonstration
platform of Shrink-and-Grow Mystery such that the demonstrator in the north end of the platform was shorter.

But in recent years, the oscillation path of the compact nugget of Type B high density dark matter is closer to
the south end of the demonstration platform such that the demonstrator in the south end is now shorter.
Therefore, the demonstration platform appears to have switched polarity due to the long term slow drift of the
oscillation path of the compact nugget of Type B high density dark matter.

Such long term (70 years) drifting south of the position of the compact nugget of Type B high density dark
matter probably is due to the movement of tectonic plates of earth crust. It is well known that the western part
of California and Oregon is moving north slowly due to the tectonic plate movement. It seems that the gravity
anchor system in the ground does not move as fast as the tectonic plate such that the position of the compact
nugget of Type B high density dark matter appears to be drifting south slowly as the western part of California
and Oregon drifts north slowly.

3.5. Abnormal Magnetic Field in Mystery Areas

The difficulties of land surveyors described in Section 2.7 and the measured data in Section 2.8 indicate that
the magnetic field in Mystery Spot areas is abnormal in that (A) the strength of the magnetic field is higher by
a few percent relative to normal value outside of mystery areas, (B) the directional pointing of the abnormal
magnetic field in Mystery Spot areas is also abnormal and different from that outside of the Mystery Spot
areas.

A possible explanation for such abnormal magnetic field is the following. In the earlier stage of the formation
process of earth billions years ago, the entire earth including the earth surface was very hot such that
everything was in molten and fluid state. The presence of the strong abnormal local gravity in the Mystery Spot
areas would have attracted more heavier elements of ordinary matters, such as iron, into the small Mystery
Spot areas.

Subsequently, when the earth surface cooled down enough for the surface material to solidify to become earth
crust, the higher concentration of heavier elements (such as iron) in the Mystery Spot area may be contributing
to the higher magnetic field. The pointing direction of these solidified iron represents the pointing direction of
earth magnetic field in that period billion years ago and can be substantially different from the pointing direction
of the earth magnetic field today.

Therefore, land surveyors may run into difficulties in precision land survey work in Mystery Spot areas due to
at least four possible reasons:

(a) The abnormal magnetic field such that the compass does not work properly,

(b) The strong abnormal local gravity from the compact nugget of Type B high density dark matter with
extreme high mass density has small scale structure such that the land survey instrument cannot perform the
critical functions of Centering and Leveling properly

and

(c) The scenery to be surveyed in the mystery areas may vary slightly with time as described in Sections 2.3
and 3.3.

(d) The yet unknown dark interaction processes of high concentration of Type B dark matter in a Mystery Spot
Area may cause failures or malfunction of some digital electronic devices as described in Section 8.3 of my
Web Page (3):

Such problems indicate that land survey instrument may be a sensitive and reliable instrument to detect and
discover a Mystery Spot area with significant abnormal local gravity.

3.6. Impacts of Dynamic Time Variation on Future Measurement Programs

The importance of the gravity mysteries in Mystery Spot areas and Gravity Hills is gaining recognition by many
people. More researchers may plan to conduct more experiments and measurements in Mystery Spot areas
and Gravity Hills in the future. The impacts of slow time variation of these gravity mysteries and of location of
the compact nugget of Type B high density dark matter must be considered in the planning of the experiments
and measurements. Some key parameters to be measured may vary with time depending on the time varying
location of the compact nugget of Type B high density dark matter.

4. Concluding Remark

The height of a person is not supposed to change when the person is standing still at a given location. But the
height of a person does change slowly a few percent over time in Mystery Spot areas. The scenery is not
supposed to move, but they do move slightly over time in Mystery Spot areas.

These observed very strange and mysterious dynamics of gravity mysteries in Mystery Spot areas can now
be explained and understandable by my Dark Matter Based Theory for Gravity Hills and Mystery Spots.

These Mystery Spot areas and hundreds of gravity hills on earth surface provide golden opportunities for
scientists to conduct more advanced scientific experiments to investigate the characteristics of dark matter
and of yet unknown dark interaction processes of dark matter in dark sector of universe.

6. Technical Background of the Author of This Web Page

Dr. Sing H. Lin is a retired Telecommunication engineer with technical expertise in the area of radio/wireless
communication technologies and systems. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Electrical Engineering from the
University of California at Berkeley, California, USA in 1969 and BSEE degree from National Taiwan University
in 1963. He joined Bell Laboratories in New Jersey, USA in 1969. He has 68 technical publications and
presentations in various technical journals and conferences, 3 patents, a Chinese certificate of a copyright on a
mapping table for Chinese Spelling Code.

He had been a member of the US Delegation to International Telecommunication Union (ITU) for many years in
developing the global standards and recommendations for radio/wireless communications systems including
the Third Generation (3G) mobile wireless communications systems and beyond. In 1998, this international
team of wireless technology experts, including Dr. Sing Lin, completed the development of ITU standard for
3G mobile wireless communication system. This 3G wireless mobile system standard provides the platform
that spawned the rapidly growing smart phone industry with many useful applications attracting huge number
of users all over the world. The total global annual sales of smart phones is about 500 million units in 2011 and
is growing very fast. The smart phone industry is now moving forward into the international 4G system
standard which is also known as LTE (Long Term Evolution).

Dr. Sing H. Lin and his colleagues in the old Bell Laboratories had conducted many years of experiments on
effects of multipath radio propagation and rain attenuation on the performance of terrestrial and earth-satellite
microwave communication radio links. Such experiments and huge amount of data were collected from
numerous microwave radio links in USA and in some foreign countries such as Saudi Arabia. Results from
such  experimental data, analyses and developed theories are important for engineering microwave
communication radio links to meet performance objectives. Some of these results were published in the

When he was a Ph.D. student in the University of California at Berkeley, he did take and enjoyed the graduate
course on Radio Astronomy. As a radio engineer in Bell Laboratories, in New Jersey, USA, he participated in a
team project on radiometer measurements and experiments as related to satellite communication
technologies. He learned the Dickie radiometer technologies from a team of radio astronomers, including
Robert W. Wilson, in Bell laboratories at Crawford Hill in Holmdel, New Jersey.

His interest in astronomy continues from his student life through his professional engineering life and into his
retiree life. In his retiree sightseeing trips, he enjoyed touring the Very Large Array (VLA) site operated by the
National Radio Astronomy Observatory near Socorro, New Mexico and the National Solar Observatory and
